YOKOHAMA Prints from Nineteenth-Century Japan 1990 Ann Yonemura Smithsonian

Offered is a paperback copy of a book, published by the Smithsonian Institution,YOKOHAMA Prints from Nineteenth-Century Japan, a catalogue of an exhibition held at the Arthur M Sackler Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 1990 and early 1991. Written by Ann Yonemura, this book is illustrated with a foreword by Milo C Beach and a short piece calledA Note on the Collection and Its Originsby William Leonhart. The cover and endpapers are illustrated, the spine, in keeping with the cover, has black text against a sky blue background. Approximately 9" x 13" with 198 pages, we are told that the materials used are archival.

This book has some wear, especially along the edges of the cover, which are a bit curled, splitting. The cover corners are worn, and some of the inside pages tend to bend outward, and a couple of pages are bent, probably from careless handling. Most of the wear could be considered hard shelf wear; inside the pages are clean and the binding is still firm. This is a good reading copy, worthy of casual display and use.
