You won't find this item in your average garage sale or flea market!!
This item is an interesting piece with a copyright of 1927. It is one worksheet out of a home school program for electricians. This course worksheet contains 18 different pages dealing with electric cranes and elevators. It was a product of L. L. COOKE School of Electricity CHICAGO. Although this piece was directed at an electricians homeschooling course, it also has basic info that is truly interesting. Pictures and illustration s were included. It has short descriptions of:
cranes and hoists,
locomotive jib cranes,
lifting magnets and more.
Subjects of some of the pictures include:
Portable Gantry Crane ....... Niles-Bement-Pond Co. in New York City (picture above) * Typical crane hoist motor manufactured by Pawling and Harnischfeger (picture above) * An arrangement of motors on the trolley of a crane .... Whiting Corporation (picture above) * Niles speed regulating resistance for A. C. Hoist motors * Solenoid braking device for hoist motors .... Pawling and Harnischfeger * Hoist motor controller ...... Cutlar Hammer Co. (picture above) * Elevator Installation ... Warner Elevator Mfg. Co, * Over speed governor .... Warner Elevator Mfg. Co.
This item also contains some control wiring diagrams and info on different mechanisms that make the cranes and elevators work and it also contains illustrations of the different type's of machinery. Hard to describe this interesting item, but I'm sure it would make a fantastic item for anyone with an interest in this area! Awesome for collectors...
Item does have some light soiling / staining to the cover pages. No rips, or tear, writing or highlighting. No dog-ears. First 2 pages have a small piece of its paper missing toward bottom edge.
