Description: Special edition of the Wellesley TOWNSMAN newspaper celebrating the Town of Wellesley's 75th Anniversary and the Townsman's 50th Anniversary.

Includes many, many photos and articles detailing the history of Wellesley, from Wellesley Village (West Needham) and Grantville in the 1880s, on through to the "present day" in 1956.

This special edition has a total of 84 pages, including a main section of 20 pages (broken into 3 parts) and 8 lettered sections (A to H) of 8 pages each.

Condition: Just fair, I'd say. The paper has been stored for most of its 57+ years separated into three parts in a plastic bag, with each part folded in quarters, as shown in the three photos. The area along the folds has gotten quite brittle and, particularly in the front section, is crumbling and flaking along the folds. All sections have developed holes at the middle where the horizontal and vertical folds meet.

For the most part, though, the paper is still quite readable (if handled gently) and the vast majority of the photos are still intact.
