1930's or so vintage celluloid (or other early plastic) frosted* heart brooch with hand-painted purple rose flower and green leaves with inscription 'Mother'
*an antique clear/white translucent plastic with the look of satin glass.
This is about 1 1/2 inches long by 1 3/8" wide.
There is a little wear, a few faint scratches, a rough spot on the top left and it could use a cleaning which is normal for vintage jewelry.
I see no names or markings anywhere.
The old glue used to secure the flower and the pinback onto the pin may someday come loose so always check before you wear it.
Please check these and/or clean it over a tray to catch any stones that may come loose.
