These elegant antique earrings are signed STAR and set in like-new, shiny goldtone. Star jewelry was produced by the Star Novelty Company, Inc. of Chicago. The company began making costume jewelry, marked: "STAR" from 1925 to 1940 and then the company & mark changed to Staret in 1941.
The two translucent Hyacinth Orange with Orchid Frost Lucite stones are known as "Fruit Salad" and are molded leaves. There are also 2 Topaz Aurora Borealis rhinestones on these ever so desirable clip-on beauties in very good condition. Some of the frost has faded a bit, but this is to be expected with antique earrings and does not detract from their beauty. They are gorgeous and absolutely glow like they are on fire when the light hits them. These are a highly collectible, exciting find!
*Typical age-wear. It is VERY RARE for vintage/antique jewelry to entirely escape the tolls of time. :(
