Here's a nice old postage stamp issued by the German state of Baden more than 150 years ago. It carries a 1 kreuzer denomination and was intended to be used for Rural Postage Due. I believe that it's Scott Catalog #LJ1, issued in 1862. However, I'm not a professional stamp dealer and I'm not an expert on these, so please use the scans to verify my identification for yourself.

Condition: Unused, but with no gum, a hinge remnant and a nipped corner, centered as shown. (Please see scans.)
