1950s CANON CITY, COLORADO - Royal Gorge Bridge, Denver & Rio Grande Streamliner - Unused Postcard
Here's a nice vintage color postcard featuring a "View at the bottom of the Royal Gorge, near Canon City, Colorado, showing the ROYAL GORGE SUSPENSION BRIDGE, the World's highest bridge, 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River, and the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Streamliner." (Photo by F. Yockey)
The card is numbered "C-203" and is described as a "Color reproduction by Pikes Peak Lithographing Co." It was published and distributed by "A. & S. SALES COMPANY" of Colorado Springs.
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date: Not dated, but it appears to me to be from the 1950s, or perhaps early 1960s.
Condition: Good, I'd say. The card is unused, with sharp edges and slightly bumped corners. The front is clean and bright, but the back shows significant foxing. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
