Antique 1890's De Porceleyne Fles Royal Delft Large Pul (Covered Pot)
From the Koningklije Porceleyne Fles, here is a lovely hand painted pul (The Dutch word for covered pot or vase). Measures approximately 8-1/2 inches tall without the top and 12-inches tall with the top. This pul dates before 1900 and has impressed JT&L. The painter is Petrus Johannes Gerbrands, who was born November 19th, 1867 and was employed at the factory from April 3rd, 1890 till 1931. The Louis XV style is shown in the Royal Delft book by Rick Erickson on page 62.
The pul is in excellent condition except for crazing which is to be expected for delft this old. The top or lid had the lion finial repaired as you can see in the pictures.
