This is a sweet, vintage, Royal Doulton Valentine's Day collectible plate "My Valentine" from 1977. It has the image of a Victorian girl and boy decorating a flower heart wreath. There is a a dove carrying a Valentine's card beneath them and they are surrounded by flowers and roses. There is a poem on the back entitled, "My Valentine", see the pic. The colors are soft greens, roses, blues and yellow/gold. The children are dressed in typical Victorian clothing. The white plate itself is a work of art. It has raised designs with hearts and lacy elements, very pretty. There is a gold painted band around the edge. It is 8-1/4" in diameter, pre-owned and in very good to excellent condition. The only things I see are, something tiny on the back foot of the plate. I honestly don't know what it is. I've louped it and it is either a very tiny chip or a burst firing bubble, and there is a red dot no bigger than a pinpoint within the glaze which didn't photograph, and an almost invisible couple of dots of gold paint near the bottom rose. No box.
