This rarely offered Sage is native to Peru and Ecuador. Salvia squalens is an evergreen perennial, clothed year-round in handsome, textured, aromatic, sticky and hairy leaves. From late spring through fall, it blooms in flushes, and with large orangy-red flowers. Hardy from zone 9 onwards. 4 feet tall and wide. Full sun to part shade. Average well-drained soil. Very rarely set seeds! Exclusive, fresh seeds, harvested 05/2011 - 06/2011.
