Vintage Tin Toy Jeepy - Lavishly decorated - Philippines
Ornate and colorful, tin jeepy has original price tag from ShoeMart - SM Department Store in the Philippines.
The "jeepney" is the Filipino version of the "jitney," the taxi/minibus that travels along a fixed route and was built from WWII surplus jeeps. A 'jeepney' refers only to stretched versions. A normal length one would be called a jeepy, jeep or 'owner.'

Above this Manila jeepy's windshield is handpainted "Philippines" and on one side sideboard is "Taft", the other "Herron", streets in the city.
No makers mark. Looks to be hand assembled, welded, painted and decorated with lace, fringe and silver painted western horse on hood.

Good condition: one 1/4" linear scrape on drivers side rear body and driver's side grab bar is missing.
