This is a very beautiful Tibetans green jade Prayer Beads mala. very common among most Tibetans, the Mala are mainly used to count mantras, which can be recited for four different purposes:
To appease,
To increase,
To overcome, or tame by forceful means.
A full-length Tibetan mala is usually comprised of 108 plus a guru bead. 108 is a sacred number. 1- represents One God 0- stands for 0 conciousness, 8- stands for infinity. This adds up to 9. Nine means completion. The tassel symbolizes the feet of the lotus or a thousand lotus petals. The person has masterd recitation of the prayer. The mantra permeates the very atom of your being. It is very powerful.
