A perfect example of depression era domestic ingenuity. This tablecloth from the 30s or early 40s at the latest looks to have been handmade from white cotton sheeting and hand hemmed and embroidered. Branches of flowers in the corners have single blooms connecting them. The center is plain. No holes. One small spot that you can't see in the photo (in the middle). A great piece to add to your shabby linen collection. It is 35 inches square.
A note about the picture of the whole cloth. It was taken outside on my patio table. Recently someone came along in the night and sanded the paint off in spots. Those dark shadows are not in the cloth. The round spot in the center is the hole for the umbrella.
