This is a great piece of old country kitchen clay pottery. It belonged to the daughter of a lady who brought it here to the USA in about 1900 give or take a year or so. She brought it from Germany. It was always used to make pudding. It was meant to be used over an open fire and is burned slightly on the bottom from use. The inside is glazed and the outside is not. There are a few minor chips in the glazing, but not in the pottery itself. There are no cracks or repairs. It is 11.250" across the rim and stands about 5" high. The height varies some because the bowl was made by hand by a potter. This would make a wonderful addition to anyones country kitchen collection.
