This picture frame (with bubble glass) is hand-carved wood. It's in good but antique condition with a few tiny, small flecks of paint missing around the rim or edge, and these can be seen in the photos below. In between the small intricate carvings is dust that could not be reached by cloth,and no efforts further were taken in order that it not be damaged. The frame is made from wood and has a gesso finish applied.

These carvings are 6 inches wide by 3 inches tall by 9/16 inch highTiny low bas-relief handcarved roses, flowerswith trailing beads on each side decorate the frame in each quadrant.Raised carvings of tiny 5/16's leaves and scallopsencircle theentire outside of the frame which is 3 inches wide. Below this is a side shot of the bubble glass.
The camera flash extra bright to reflect off the glass to show it bubble outward. The glass is very clear and cannot be seen from photographing because this piece is very old.
The backside shown below, was never painted, and shows the true age of the wood. It is still sturdy.It holds on your wall by a wire cord. The photo below shows a stamp on theback of the frameindicating it was used by Portrait Company in Pennsylvania. The mat for the frame is held in by nails.
There is one place on the left side of the frame which has a piecemissing but it is very unnoticeable and is testament to it's antique age and use. The frame has a blank white cardboard insert, for photography purposes.
