Mr. Dithers invites the Bumsteads to accompany him on a Latin-American cruise. The high jinks on the seas begin when Dagwood, on his way to carry out a last-minute assignment for Mr. Dithers, gets trapped in the middle of the embarkation of the ship's orchestra. Through a series of events that could only happen to Bumstead, he then winds up playing the drums, disguised as a woman. His deceit is discovered by Dithers. Trying to escape, Dagwood makes a shambles of the ship. It's fast, furious and funny, especially as played to the tune of Latin-American rhythms.
