Here is an interesting cookbook. At first glance, it's a great collection of recipes from Iowa with ads from local businesses in Iowa and Minnesota. What is a puzzle is that this is a newer cookbook (less than 20 years) but the cookbook is dated 1952. I believe it is a re-published copy of the Hesper Lutheran Church cookbook in Iowa. The font of the print is not vintage. It is a soft cover, wire spiral bound recipe collection that has been lightly used. The front and back covers show minimal wear from use and re-shelving. INSIDE the pages are at least 98% free of any marks, stains or writing. (One page had a yucky recipe crossed out--I mean REALLY crossed out, but trust me, it's not a good recipe.)

Chapters include: Bread, Cakes & Icings, Cookies, Desserts, Meat Dishes, Pastries, Pickles & Relishes, Salads, Scandinavian Dishes, and Misc. There are about 90 pages with an average of 2-4 recipes per page and some of the left side of the page has ads from businesses -- with 3 numbers in their phone number.
