Ray's work also includes several illustrations for the front page art illustrations for the Lac Du Flambeau Newspaperas well asflyers & postersfor community social intervention programs and coalitions, N.R.I. (National Rural institute for drug & alcohol prevention) and the A.I.A.A.(Amerian Indians Against Abuse)What are the Three Sisters? The three sisters refers to corn, beans, and squash. These three vegetables were planted together and grew very well with one another. Many Native Americans were dependent onthese three sisters crops for survival. Todaythe tradition of planting the three sisters together still continues.Corn is the tallest of the three sisters. She stands tall in the center.Squash is the next sister. She grows over the mound, protecting her sisters from weeds and shades the soil from the sun with her leaves, keeping it cool and moist.Beans are the third sister. She climbs through squash and then up corn to bind all together as she reaches for the sun. Beans help keep the soil fertile by coverting the sun’s energy into nitrogen filled nodules that grow in its roots. As beans grow they use the stored nitrogen as food.********All payments are due within5 days and can be made by echeck or credit card.Orders will not be shipped until payment clears.Insurance is included in S&H for all destinations.,RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3FUM.RURM52%3E-12a7521a478-->
