Very good for naturalizing, and makes a stunning cut flowers (they only last a day cut, but it's worth it). Shipped bareroot with a small amount of potting soil to maintain moisture. Can combine with bearded irises to save on shipping.
This is in bloom so it is best to wait until 6/10 or later to dig. We strongly recommend shipping during dormancy, from July to August. Please indicate your preferred ship date when ordering. We ship only on Mondays and Tuesdays so your rhizomes don't sit over the weekend at the Post Office.
Irises spread to form a nice clump when happy, and are easily divided to share with friends or to add to another area in your garden. Drought tolerant once established, this is a very easy garden plant. Perennial (comes back every year.)
