You are bidding on a very rare antique Utzchneider Sarreguemines German Tea Saucer. It is in very good original condition with some Glaze Crazing / crackle. Measures approx 6" in diameter. In the back marked "Made in Germany", also has a blue "Z", a red written "C" or "L", and "M" stamped on it. According to my research from porcelain marks and more dot com, this plate is dated between 1894-1918. It is very rare due to the mark "Made in German". This is due to this plate came from an area that changed its position between France and Germany many times in history ... during the time it was German, the town from which this comes from was named "Saargemuend", which is today better known under it's French name "Sarreguemines".
On a side note, I also have a matching tea cup / Compote in my ebay store (I purchased them as a set from a local estate) . Let me know if you are interested. This is a GREAT addition to your vintage collection. Thanks!
