Issues two through six (maybe more?) of Ken Leach's Tales from the Morgue anthology were published in the late '80s and early '90s.This item, however, is the original first issue (simply called Morgue) from 1964.
Printed on a Multilith by Steve Kelley (Top Hat), it contains comics work by cousins Ken Leach and Mark Pickens that was inspired by the then-current monster craze.
After this issue was published Ken Leach went off to college and although the second issue was assembled it never was published until 1988 when he discovered independent comic books (see my other auctions).
Also included in this auction is a bonus four-page digest that contains a story originally slated for Morgue #2 (see scans above). On the back is a handwritten note by Ken Leach.
