This is a soft case magnifier that slips in-and-out on a corner pin but is protect from scratching when inside the case. The wide lens of approximately 2" has a 5X spot in the corner to see those fines details. We don't recommend carrying this such as your packet if you're prone to getting dirt or sand in your pocket when carrying since the particles can get between the soft case and lens and might scratch the lens surface. The favorite users of this item have been hobbiests, fishermen, travelers, a purse carrier, collectors and readers. The item is approximately 2" x 2 1/2" closed. They make a great give-away item.
