Tucked inside an old purse of my Mother's I found this vintage Indian Group from the 1960's. Inside the bottom of the Katchina Doll was a little rolled up paper stating some information about the doll and also about the organization that Mother must have donated to. I will roll it back up and put it back into the doll. She was sent these Hopi and Crow Indian items from the Missionaries working with them at St. Labre School because she donated to them.
Included in this lightweight plastic group is:
The colorful Katchina doll that is almost 5 inches tall.
A large teepee that hung on the wall that must have had two felt pieces that predicted the weather--one is missing.
Two plastic smaller teepees that have people inside (one has the people taped inside).
Two plastic boy dolls with head dress and arms crossed.
One girl with a pious/shy downward look.
