Imperial Glass NuCut Vase Whirling Star 1904-1938
This is not cut glass although it was made to imitate it. Imperial made this pattern between 1904 and 1938. The vase is 6.5" by 3.25." The design features 3 large whirling stars, hobstars, diamonds, and prisim cuts. The common name for the pattern is Whirling Star. A molded star is on the cut and polished bottom. The NuCut brand is embossed on the bottom. This glass appeared in Imperial Glassware's catalog 1904-1938 and was identified as pattern 101c. The Whirling Star pattern was popular in the early 1900s. NuCut designs were introduced in 1914.
