One in a series of four fairy dolls inspired by the essence and magic of the four seasons, Epona is made of painted muslin.
Her hair is the softest yarn and was styled and sewn in by hand. Her arms and legs are button-jointed and poseable. Her top is made from chiffon petals, while her skirt is of tulle and ribbon. Her face is soft-sculpted and then painted, and her little fairy ears are made of polymer clay. Her lovely wings are made of wire and nylon, and painted several times. She has painted ballet slippers.
Epona's bright pastel tones capture the spirit of summer. Her name comes from the goddess honored in the celebration of the summer solstice in ancient Gaul.
