This is an absolutely stunning 1879 DMPL Morgan dollar from the San Francisco Mint. It is housed in a NNC holder with a grade of MS67 DMPL. In my opinion this coin is a true gem. In a PCGS, NGC, or ANACS holder it would retail at around $900 in just a 65 grade. I believe the coin is better than that, but in it's present holder it won't support that kind of price. However, I believe this coin to be a prime crossover candidate. The one caution I would give to anyone who is new to collecting Morgans - to have a chance to get a gem grade at one of the so-called 1st tier grading companies I believe you would have to crack this coin out of the holder and send it in raw.
