Offered is a beautiful antique majolica plate made by VILLEROY & BOCH majolica factory in the Schramberg, Germany factory.
This plate is impressed with an early model number and size number, this plate may have been produced under the production of Isador Faist who owned the factory before 1883 when Villeroy & Boch bought the Schramberg majolica pottery.
This stunning antique majolica plate features a beautiful and ornate reticulated or pierced rim, scroll work and a central theme of grapes and leaves. As you can see the colors are incredible and the workmanship devine. It has a high gloss and deep, rich colors!!!
All white spots you see are from camera light, not chips.It is in excellent condition for its great age with no chips, cracks or repairs!! A few tiny spots of light glaze wear that you feel with the finger on the edge which is normal for a piece this old,maybe more than 127 years old!! The back has stilt marks from the kiln to attest to its age.
It measures 8 inches in diameter. It is marked on the back with the model number 367 and the size number 7.
