AMERICA'S TREASURE TOUGH SQUARE JAW HERO LOST IN PACIFICAs many of you know, I specialize in finding old stories of long ago that have been overlooked, seldom found and rarely read. . Here is the story entitled Captain Eddie as it was published in the U. S. At War section of this old American magainze of 1942. Some 60 years old the United States was stunned with the news that THE AVIATION hero had been lost in the South Pacific. Recites facts of the clamity, hope for recovery and history of Eddie Rickenbacker and his wife who said, "He alwas said he was the darling of Lady Luck. Of course, she was right. In unbelievable pristine conditon. You probably have not seen these before because they are on the the inside of other very valuable ads. The page is 8 1/4 BY 11 1/2 INCHES. My wife kids me that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the eCRATER entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hours but OH HOW I LOVE TO FIND THESE OLD AMERICAN WARTIME REPORTS. I saved this from destruction from this old magazine of many years ago. Excellent condition. Buyer pays postage of $3.50 First Class Postage, $4.60 Priority Mail, $10.00 International mail at cost. Texans must pay applicable sales tax.
