This listing is for an extremely nice vintage Frye Brand bag. This handbag is leather, and was made by the Frye boots company. The leather is really thick and sturdy on this bag. This bag looks like it is really well made, and will last a long time. This is an older bag. I am not sure how old it is. The zipper pull has a metal circle on it, and that makes it look like seventies era to me, however when I opened the pocket on the front and was surprised to see that it closes with Velcro, as I thought Velcro was a fairly new invention, not around in the seventies. So perhaps this bag is from the eighties. I called the Frye company to try to date this bag, and the person I spoke to said that it is at least fifteen years old, and that this style would not be made any longer. This purse is unused, and still has the paper tag on it. The tag is not in perfect condition; it has a fold in it. The color of the leather is kind of a yellowish tan with some brown swirls on it. There is a pocket on the front of it, with attractive decorative stitching on it. The purse has a zippered closure, and a shoulder strap. Measuring from the base of the strap, where it is attached to the purse, the shoulder strap measures approximately, but not quite 26 inches long. It is not adjustable. This bag is a good size. It measures approximately 12 inches across, measuring across the top of the bag, and approximately 9 inches tall. The bag has no dividers or pockets inside of it. The depth of the bag, measuring at the center bottom of the bag is approximately 2.5 inches. Please note that there are a few light long scratch marks in the leather, but it appears that they were in the leather to start with, before the purse was manufactured. Please see the listing photos for a visual of this. I own other Frye brand items that have marks in the leather, so I know this is not uncommon. However, please take note of this and do not purchase if it is a concern.
