This perennial that stays beautiful all year. It has feathery evergreen foliage and fragrant yellow flower clusters April to June. I've seen this used as a border or cascading down a rock wall. Plants will spread. It is a must have for the perennial gardener! Does well in rock gardens. Cut back after blooming to maintain compact plants.
Very easy to grow from seed! I have mine in a rock garden area & the flowers cascade over the rocks & soften the harsh edges. I also wait for seeds to dry on the plant & then scatter seeds over areas to use as a filler between other flowering plants.
Just scatter over soil after evening temps reach 65 degrees overnight. Barely cover-germination will start after 7 days or so, possibly sooner depending on location & temps. I scatter some vermiculite on the top & keep moist. Seeds are very tiny, best to mix with sand to scatter evenly.
This flower works well in containers also. Just a happy low maintenance flower
