Basket of Gold!
This perennial that stays beautiful all year. It has feathery evergreen foliage and fragrant yellow flower clusters April to June. I've seen this used as a border or cascading down a rock wall. Plants will spread. It is a must have for the perennial gardener! Does well in rock gardens. Cut back after blooming to maintain compact plants.
Self sows easily-keep seeds and seedlings moist until established. If you collect the seeds when dry and scatter them over an area, you will have these beautiful colorful flowers everywhere. Softens the effect in rock gardens and a great splash of color for borders or walkways.
I am in zone 9 (Northern Ca) and mine come back every year and I collect the dried seeds and spread them out so by summer I have a lush colorful splash that cascades over the rocks.
Plant seeds 1/8" and barely cover. Seeds are teeny tiny. Tamp down lightly so the seeds are in contact with your planting medium. Once the soil is warm, seeds will germinate in 10 days! Keep seeds moist until germination-NOT soggy!
