Extra-early, yellow popcorn - a New England heirloom.
Refined from a genuine New Hampshire heirloom by the late Prof. E.M. Meader, Univ. of New Hampshire, and Johnny's Selected Seeds. Matures even in the far North. The plants are dwarf, only 3 1/2' tall, and bear 1 or 2 ears 3-4" long. Can be grown in narrow 18" rows, or twice as thickly as normal corn. Will not shade other garden vegetables. Makes a nice yellow "mini-ornamental" corn for table decorations. NOTE: Tom Thumb pops well, but not quite as light and tender as Robust 128YH. (Untreated seeds only.) Organically grown.
