Early to mid 18th c Thai bronze temple bird done in the lost wax method . The condition is very good with remains of red lacquer under the wings and around the base cap (where this would have been mounted to a post at the temple) as well as traces of gold leaf and some remaining glass mirror . The bird was used a lamp base at one time as the wood base shows . This is large and very heavy about 60 pounds so all packing and shipping will be done at cost at the ups store . size H 32 " w 13" d 20 "
