This pair of wooden salt and pepper shaker celebrates the city of New Orleans. The shakers are designed to look like old time lampposts. The tops of the shakers unscrew for filling. Each shaker is four sided and each side depicts a different site or event in New Orleans. The sides say "New Orleans Louisiana" with a depiction of the S.S. President underneath; "Romance" with a rendering of the Mardi Gras festival underneath; "City of Gaiety" with a depiction of the Brulatour Courtyard underneath and "History" with a drawing of the St. Louis Cathedral underneath.
Each shaker also has a small sign on the cross post. One reads "Bourbon St. Salt" and the other reads "Bourbon St. Pepper."
There is some wear to the paint on these shakers, especially around the corners. There are no nicks in the wood and no loose parts or pieces.
Each shaker stands approximately 5 ¼ inches tall and is approximately 2 inches wide across the base.
