Sound Heard Round: Music Sphere from Oregon Scientific StyleFi!
The music sphere is a remote, wireless, stereo speaker. It can have up to three audio sources, such as your home stereo, MP3 player and DVD player, connected at any one time, and it will transmit the music digitally to the speaker up to about 100 feet away (30 metres).
The sphere comprises of a bass speaker, and two tweeters, giving a stereo sound effect. The sound is excellent given the confines of the sphere, and the stereo seperation is very good. What works very well is the bass! It is mains powered, however you can also run it from 6 x C type batteries (not supplied). The sender unit is mains powered and connected to your audio devices.
This makes the WRS368 Music Sphere ideal for use in the garden, when having parties or barbeques. It also can be used in a kitchen or office!
Music Sphere employs 2.4 GHz wireless digital audio technology to wirelessly play back and control up to three different audio sources, 30 metres away from the source. Simply connect your MP3 player, iPod, stereo system or TV's audio output to one of the three independent transmitter sphere's audio input jacks and transmit the audio digitally, wirelessly and reliably.
