The first Lego Star Wars game came out in 2005 and featured scenes and characters from George Lucas' 3 Star Wars prequels. It was quirky, simple, hilarious and addictive, attracting players both young and old. Now the dust has settled on the new movies, and as the world starts focussing on the original trilogy once again, LucasArts are developing 'Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy' and it's going to massive!
All the main scenes from the trilogy have been rebuilt in Lego form, from R2-D2 and C3PO's escape from the Death Star to the ultimate destruction of the Empire at the end of 'Jedi'. Obviously the only playable Jedi will be Luke and Obi Wan, who will have all new force powers. There's also Han Solo's pin-point blaster skills to take advantage of, and Chewie becomes a playable character, with the ability to rip enemies' arms off! As well as that, there is a strong focus on vehicles, with the inclusion of X-Wings, Tie Fighters and of course the Millennium Falcon, all available for in-game use. Gamers will also get the chance to build their own vehicles and characters from scratch using building blocks and pieces found in the game environment.
LucasArts have taken everything we love about the original Lego Star Wars game and enhanced it the graphics will be sharper, and there will be difficulty settings, which can be changed to suit your needs, cancelling out complaints about the first game being too easy.
Fly a Lego Millennium Falcon? The Death Star made out of building bricks? We can't wait
