Country music's George Riddle autographed this b/w 8x10 Grand Ole Opry photo in the late 1960s for noted songwriter Charles "Chaw" Mank.
On the reverse Riddle signed again, also writing his address in Nashville.
George Riddle was one of several performers who played at the same March 3, 1963, Kansas City, Kansas, benefit concert that marked the final appearance of Patsy Cline. Two days later, Cline perished in a plane crash while returning to Nashville along with Cowboy Copas, Hawkshaw Hawkins and her manager and the pilot Randy Hughes.
Riddle married fellow country music singer Norman Jean in 1990, but the two later divorced. Riddle was a long-time frontman for such performers as George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
Great provenance (directly from the Chaw Mank estate) and no doubt as to authenticity. Excellent condition.
