Sea Shell Jewelry ~ These sensational 1940's shell cluster earrings look very Haskell like, but they were most likely made in Japan, as they incorporate small segments of Mother of Pearl which has been died a lovely lavender to rose color. The shell segments are not tight clusters, and they do have a little swing to them. This rose color is very unusual in Mother of Pearl jewelry. The earrings are expertly made with all brass components and each shell section was attached by hand to round gold filigree backs, as the shells are hand wired. The earrings are lever style clips and each cluster measures 1 1/2' wide. The earrings are in pristine condition with no loss of bright yellow gold, no greening on the brass, and no lack of shine to the Mother of Pearl. Both earrings are exceptionally clean and are not signed.
