This dinner plate is from American Limoges. It features a Currier and Ives scene on the front. The scene features a horse drawn sleigh traveling down a snow covered street. A country house is on the right and a man carrying wood and a dog are on the left. Around the rimof the plate is an elaborate scroll and floral design. This rim design is 22K gold.
The plate has circular crazing on both the front and the back. It is most noticable in the white areas. There are two small, shallow chips on the back, the largest of which measures approximately 4 mm wide. There is no other damage.
The plate is marked on the back. It measures approximately 10 inches across. It weighs just over 1 pound unpacked.
