This 19th issue marks a five-year anniversary for Paper Rodeo. In a recent review, Tom Spurgeon describes it thusly: "For the unitiated, imagine a free tabloid weekly made up of wildly drawn, anything-goes cartoons that have more in common with Gary Panter at his most inscrutable than Scott Adams or Tony Millionaire."
Paper Rodeo is sort of an explosion of art and comics that come from maybe the exact opposite place of mainstream comics (which is not to say that they don't share any common links).
This issue's got Mat Brinkman, Souther Salazar, C.F. / Christopher Forgues, Chris Capuozzo (Funny Garbage), Fiona Smyth, Noah Lyon, Brian Chippendale, Marc Arsenault, Monobrain, Pshaw, Eamon Espey and others.
It's something you really should try at least once.
