La Danse is David Hamilton was born in London in 1933, and currently lives in an 800-year-old house near St. Tropez, France. Mr. Hamilton studied archi-tecture and interior design before turning to typog-raphy and layout. While he was art director of thè English review Queen, he bought his first camera. Later settling in Paris as art director of Printemps, he began devoting himself exclusively to photography. He has worked for thè best inter-national magazines. including Vogue, Réalitiés, T*en, Playboy, and Qui. His work has been shown ali over thè world, including New York, Tokyo. London, Hamburg, Milan, and Paris, and al a "Photokina" show he exhibited his work as one of thè world"s "four masters of erotic photography." His first two books, Dreams of a Young Girl and Sisters, were international successes. David Hamilton is also working on other books. as well as a full-length film.
