A note about our record grading abreviations, item title describes the condition of the record and sleeve. These are expressed as two abbreviations, seperated by a slash. The first refers to the record and the second to the cover. The abbreviations we use are as follows:
M (Mint), EX (Excellent), VG (Very Good), G (Good), B (Bad). Full definitions for these gradings are below.
For example: EX/VG indicates that the record is in Excellent condition and the sleeve in Very Good condition.
+ or - behind abreviation indicates record or cover is slightly above or below grade given.
Conditions:
MINT:
The record is still sealed in cover.
The cover is still in factory shrinkwrap, never opened.
EXCELLENT:
The record may show some sign of having been played, there is very little, if any lessening in sound quality.
The cover may/may not have very minor seam wear, light ring wear, cut-out markings.
VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times, noticeable surface marks with minor deterioration in sound quality. May have pen marks/name.
The cover has normal wear and tear, pen marks/name, moderate ring wear, seam split of 3" or less.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches.
The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, taped splits, discoloration, etc.
BAD:
The record has serious problems. Warpage, skip and/or repeat when played.
The cover seriously damaged. Water damage, surface area peeled off. Only use is to keep record in.
The vast majority of items we list are in Excellent or Very Good condition.
Many of our excellent items are in others near mint condition.
