This pretty sauce bowl is from Oneida. It has an attached underplate with a gadroon rim. The bowl is silverplate.
The bowl has a some tarnish, toward the bottom of the bowl. There is also some tarnish on the rim, both top and bottom. There are several small (pinpoint size) black spots on the bowl's interior and on the face of the underplate. There are also untensil marks on the interior of the bowl and on the underplate. The bottom of the piece has heavy scratching. Neither the bowl nor the underplate has any dents or dings.
The plate is marked on the bottom with 2 lions holding a shield between them. The shield has the letters "OL" on it. There is a knight's hat on the top of the shield. Underneath this the word "Oneida" is printed.
The bowl measures 5 inches wide and 2 ½ inches deep. The underplate measures 7 ½ inches across. The piece weighs just over ½ pound unpacked.
