Fuchsia denticulata is almost constantly blooming here in California, and the best shows are in the cooler months of spring and autumn. Its slender, dangling flowers are a rare combination of light red, orange, pink, white and green! Even though this is a vigorous upright species, it should really be trained into a hanging specimen so that you can see the wonderful riot of colors of the blooms from below. Dark green, lush foliage. Hardy from zone 9 onwards. 5 feet tall and wide. Light shade. Moist, rich soil. Very rare, fresh seeds, harvested 12/2012.
