Krakow Sukiennice carved wooden souvenir plate vintage 1147vf
This souvenir plate is from Krakow, Poland. It is made of lathed wood and the picture and rim decorations are carved into the wood. The picture is tinted under a protective glaze. The plate is stained a dark color. It is 11.5 inches in diameter. Condition is excellent except for a place on the edge where the stain was missed or wore away.
The Krakow Sukiennice or cloth hall is located in the center of the Krakow market square. It is a large souvenir shop where a visitor can buy or just browse among a wide variety of Crakovian crafts and products. The current hall was built to replace the 14th century building that was destroyed by fire in the 16th century. The plate has a hook on the back for hanging. The other spot on the back is the remains of a price sticker and will come off.
