Passiflora quadrangularis is known for its very large fruits which may weigh up to 4 kg (9 lb). It is also one of the more beautiful of the passionflowers as it is ringed with oval white sepals, reddish petals and a center crown with 5 rows of numerous white and purple rays. The flowers are fragrant. It is a robust climber with winged stems and oval leaves. Will require support and space in time. Seeds are harvested at different intervals through the year.
Sow 1/16 ' deep at 70-80 degrees. Germination takes 2-12 weeks.
