Meadow Szarvas’ mother is in need of cancer treatment, and the only way for her to get it is if Meadow can come up with some money...and fast. When Meadow devises a plan to break into a mansion and steal a valuable painting, she is caught in the act by the mansion’s owner, Devlin Fitzwilliam. Meadow cleverly fakes amnesia and claims not to remember her identity, but in a kooky twist, Devlin turns the tables, and tells her that she is in fact his wife. Meadow is then forced to play the role of dutiful spouse until she can figure out a way to both get the painting and get herself out of this tangled mess. Further complicating matters is the discovery that she is not the only one on the prowl for the painting. TONGUE IN CHIC is another playful mystery/romance from Dodd, with plenty of twists and turns that are sure to keep the reader guessing.
