The National Fire Museum fire engine truck plate, American La France limited edition fine porcelain dish from the Franklin Mint. This interesting historical theme plate has great artistic detail of the antique American La France fire engine. The fire truck in the picture is from the “City of Newark Fire Dept”. This fine china plate has a gold painted rim.
The plate measures about 8 1/4" across. It is marked plate number Y9304. It is signed by the artist on the front, and I can’t read the name (maybe Wm. G. Trodscki??), but I have included a photo of the name for your review.
This collector’s plate is in excellent used condition. There is a tiny pinpoint size shelf wear spot (or maybe glaze bubble done during manufacturing?) on the bottom around the center rim (see photo).
On the back of the plate is says “A decorative accessory. Not to be used for food consumption.” I do not have the original box or any paperwork for this plate.
I am offering some more plates in this antique fire engine series by the National Fire Museum, sold as separate items on my Old China Dish Shop, so please check my store to see these.
