From the Littco Foundry of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, here is a wonderful pair of book ends from the 1920's--specifically 1922. Unfortunately, Littco never marked their items--they had paper labels on the base of their objects, which usually wore off. But you can check the guide book by DeCosta titled: "The Encyclopedia of Bookends" for this wonderful pair!
They are made from cast iron and have a gilded bronze finish with minimal wear that only adds to the patina of the book ends. Each measure 4 and a half inches tall and weigh 2 and a half pounds each and are in very good condition. Although they have been cleaned, I won't polish them so they keep their vintage character and patina.
