Vintage Pyrography Whiskey Barrel Keg with rack and tap spigot. I was told this piece is from Russia (?), but it is not marked and I cannot verify this. This folk art style wood burnt piece has lovely decorative pyrographic wood burned designs. There are 4 metal bands encircling the barrel. I do not know the age of this barrel keg, but my guess would be that it dates to the 1970’s or 1980’s, but it could be older?
The barrel keg measures about 7 ¾” tall, and is about 4 ¼” across the end. The rack is about 7 ¼” long, and about 5 ¾” across the end.
This is a very unique pyro wood burning decorative piece. The spigot is missing the wooden piece that goes through the hole, and there is a minor split in the spigot that does not detract (photo). The rack is also decorated with pyrography on each end, and there is a small split at the end of the cross bar on one end (see photo), and it is still attached but is a little loose and maybe could use a bit of glue on that spot.
